Just hours before the team faces the Denver Broncos in Week 1 of the new season, Gracie Hunt has shared an emotional update.

A few hours ago, the Kansas City Chiefs’ billionaire heiress Gracie Hunt took to her social media to make a post about how when she caught the bouquet at one of her friend’s wedding, it led her to marrying the “man of her dreams”, her finance Derek Green. One of the posts made by Gracie Hunt reads as, “I never caught a bouquet in my life…until this one” as she added, “It turns out you’ve gotta for your right to party”. The billionaire heiress continued, “And now I get to marry the man of my dreams”.

Gracie Hunt, the Kansas City Chiefs’ billionaire heiress, has always been public about how she has supported her team through all the challenging seasons.

She met my grandfather, Lamar, in 1962. We played together as toddlers at Chiefs Christmas parties and then reconnected pregame on the Chiefs sideline in December 2017. A week ago, Gracie Hunt and Derek Green hosted an intimate engagement party though they have not announced their wedding dates yet.

The caption of the heartfelt post reads as, “You’ve gotta fight for your right to party”, while her mother, Tavia Hunt commented as, “Talk about grabbing your future with both hands. They married in 1964, and the rest is history—beginning a beautiful marriage that lasted 42 years. ” She added, “Decades later, my mom Tavia was a 19-year-old intern in the Chiefs PR department. At the season kickoff luncheon, a “nice guy named Clark” walked up and started a conversation…and just like that, my parents’ story began much like my grandparents’ had.

For the unversed, Gracie Hunt has been public about her high profile relationship with Derek Green, the son of former Kansas City Chiefs’ legend, Trent Green, for the last few years. Gracie Hunt and Derek Green have often been spotted being there for the team and cheering them on. A few weeks ago, in an emotional post, Gracie Hunt wrote about how her love story with Derek Green connects to her grandparents and parents’ marriage as she wrote, “Long before Arrowhead, my grandmother Norma was a school teacher who sold tickets and hosted for the Dallas Texans, the team that would later become the Kansas City Chiefs.
