Taylor Swift also announced a significant contribution to hurricane recovery efforts.
“In the wake of Hurricane Milton, I’ll be making a donation of $100k to help get essentials like food, water and first aid to fellow Floridians in need,” Brady posted on X. “My friends at @gopuff are matching this, along with all other donations made via ‘Give With Gopuff’, all benefiting the Volunteer Florida Foundation,” Brady said. “We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to Hurricanes Helene and Milton relief efforts,” Feeding America’s CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot wrote.
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback also helped encourage others to contribute by highlighting a matching programme from GoPuff. The initiative aimed to get basic supplies into the hands of people dealing with the storm’s immediate impact, while supporting broader recovery efforts across Florida. The hurricane brought dangerous winds, storm surge and heavy rain, while tornadoes added another layer of risk across parts of the state. The storm left millions of customers without electricity and caused widespread damage. With communities facing urgent shortages, Brady focused his donation on practical necessities rather than simply offering public support.
