Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool made history at Wimbledon by becoming the first all-British pair in 89 years to clinch the men’s doubles title on Saturday. They secured their victory against Rinky Hijikata and David Pel with a score of 6-2, 7-6 (3) on Centre Court. For Hijikata, this match presented an opportunity to secure his second Grand Slam doubles title, following his victory at the 2023 Australian Open with Jason Kubler. Interestingly, Pel revealed that he and his partner Hijikata were complete strangers before the tournament.
