Clash of Clans adds WWE characters and John Cena village hunt: The wider industry impact

Cody Rhodes asks Clash of Clans players to find John Cena’s village

The event runs from September 1 to September 30 and also adds six WWE Superstars as Clash of Clans characters. ​ The crossover centres on a fictional rivalry between WWE Superstars Cody Rhodes and John Cena, who are both described as long-time Clash of Clans players. Rhodes has enlisted other WWE Superstars and the game’s players to help locate Cena’s village. ​ ​ Players can encounter Cena’s loot-filled base during their daily raids between September 1 and September 30. ​ Clash of Clans and WWE have launched their second collaboration, with players able to search for and raid John Cena’s in-game village throughout September.

A successful raid can also earn players a Cody Rhodes statue for their in-game village. ​ The search also features support from WWE personalities including The Undertaker and Iyo Sky, who are part of the event alongside Rhodes. ​ ​ The crossover adds six WWE Superstars reimagined as Clash of Clans Hero characters: ​ Cody Rhodes as the Barbarian King Alexa Bliss as the Archer Queen The Undertaker as the Grand Warden Iyo Sky as the Royal Champion Jey Uso as the Minion Prince Kane as the Dragon Duke ​ Cody Rhodes returns as the Barbarian King following his appearance in the previous WWE collaboration. ​ ​

The event also introduces temporary troops and a WWE-themed village design based on WWE Money in the Bank. Players can additionally earn rewards from WWE chests, including Action Figure Equipment, Challenge Tickets and a Cody Rhodes skin. ​ Players who already own the Cody Rhodes skin will receive alternative rewards, including a random Gold Pass skin, random Equipment or a Book of Everything, depending on which items they have already collected. ​ Get the latest technology news and updates.
