God of War Laufey release date and pre-order bonus
God of War Laufey pre-orders are now live for PlayStation 5 players. Pre-orders open ahead of the game’s 2027 launch, giving players access to the standard game and Digital Deluxe Edition, along with a pre-order bonus for purchases made before launch. Here’s everything announced so far about the God of War Laufey pre-order, editions, and gameplay features. God of War Laufey arrives on February 16, 2027, for PlayStation 5.
The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes the Dark Alchemy collection, a digital mini artbook, and the official soundtrack. Alongside the pre-order details, Santa Monica Studio has revealed more about Faye’s combat abilities, including her new Serpent Bow and its different firing modes, arrow types and customisation options. A major part of the newly revealed gameplay is Faye’s Serpent Bow, an enchanted weapon that can quickly shift between a dormant and ready-to-fire state. The bonus includes the Last Wish Armor Set, Phranque Golden Leaves Appearance and an in-game resource pack. Santa Monica Studio also shared more screenshots and gameplay footage of Faye and the Everywhen, with more information coming before launch. Players who pre-order God of War Laufey before its launch will receive additional in-game items. The bow supports two primary firing styles. Precision mode activates when you fully press the aim trigger, giving Faye more accurate aiming and increased draw distance. Attacks can target specific parts of an enemy to impair movement or their ability to attack, creating openings for melee attacks. Precision mode also allows the bow to charge and store up to five arrows for a stronger volley. This can be combined with Phranque’s ability to launch enemies into the air. Half-pressing the aim trigger activates the bow’s hip-fire mode. This gives Faye a more mobile stance and lets her fire clusters of arrows at close range. The rapid-fire system can also juggle airborne enemies and extend combat combos as Faye switches between her weapons and abilities. Faye can choose between different arrow types, including options designed for rapid fire, explosive attacks and hitting multiple targets. The Serpent Bow can be equipped with different Serpent Scales. These change the weapon’s appearance and add gameplay perks that affect how you use the bow. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes Dark Alchemy Bow Scales as one of its additional items. The bow also has unlockable skills that expand its capabilities as Faye progresses through the game. Faye’s armour can provide different gameplay perks and stats while also changing her appearance. Other pieces of equipment can also be customised to support different combat styles. Her Blade can be modified with different elements, while the Serpent Bow uses interchangeable Scales.
