Centralised Admission Committee had earlier announced that choice filling for state quota seats would begin from Sep 7. However, following a change in the schedule for both all-India and state quota admissions by the central govt, the state quota process will now be conducted between Sep 17 and 30. Ahmedabad: The admission process for state quota seats in ayurveda and homeopathy courses in Gujarat has been postponed.
Under the revised schedule, students will have to complete the state quota admission process, including choice filling, between Sep 17 and 30, while joining is required to be completed by Oct 1. For all-India quota seats, the process will be completed by Sep 16, with students required to join by Sep 23. Around 7,000 students have reportedly registered for the two courses. Last year, around 3,400 ayurveda seats across 44 colleges and nearly 4,400 homeopathy seats across 48 colleges were included in the admission process.
The provisional merit list is expected to be released within the next two days. This is the first year that ayurveda and homeopathy admissions are being conducted separately from the medical and dental admission process. The delay is also reportedly linked to pending approvals for several colleges and seats.
