Fire-Boltt now makes smartphones: Ace 5G and Evo
Both go on sale exclusively on Flipkart from September 1 at 12pm, with introductory pricing starting at Rs 9,999. Each gets a 6.79-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of brightness, a 6,000mAh battery, an 8MP selfie camera with Real Tone, and a 7.95mm frame. Both run Android 16 with no preloaded bloatware, and both carry Google’s Gemini-linked tools such as Circle to Search and Lens, plus an AI Night Mode for low-light shots. The Ace 5G runs a Unisoc T8200 octa-core chip, which Boltt says clears 5,47,000 on AnTuTu. It costs Rs 10,999 for 4GB/64GB and Rs 11,999 for 6GB/128GB, dropping to Rs 9,999 and Rs 10,999 on launch day. What the Ace 5G and Evo are walking into is a sub-Rs 15,000 segment where Redmi, Realme and Poco refresh their lineups every few months, and where 4GB of RAM is already looking thin.
Boltt, the smartphone brand from the team behind wearables maker Fire-Boltt, has announced its first two phones, the Ace 5G and the Evo. The two share more than they differ. The chip is paired with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, a 64MP main camera with AI Portrait and Night modes, 18W charging over Type-C with the charger bundled in, NFC for payments, and a microSD slot. The Evo uses the Unisoc T7250 with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro lens and AI Selfie Enhancement. Founder and CEO Arnav Kishore framed the launch as a consumer-first move built on access rather than compromise.
