Google Play users in India are reporting problems while trying: The wider industry impact

Google Play outage

Google Play users in India are reporting problems while trying to access the platform, with some users seeing a 500 error and others unable to download or update apps. Nearly 450 users reported facing issues with the Google Play as per website performance tracking platform Downdetector. A 500 error generally means the problem is on the server side rather than with a user’s phone or internet connection.

Google’s Play status dashboard currently shows a incident that affect “Play Billing Purchases, Play Developer Subscriptions and In-App Purchases API and Play Subscriptions Renewal and Management”. Reports of the issue have surfaced online, with users saying the Play Store is not working normally even though their internet connection appears to be fine. The problem appears to be affecting some Google Play users rather than confirming a full nationwide outage.
