Bijnor : A 42-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband and her body left inside a locked, under-construction house for nearly a week before it was discovered in Nayagaon village under Mandawali police station area of UP’s Bijnor district on Tuesday.
Police suspect a heated domestic dispute on the night of Aug 19 led to the murder.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, and further legal action will proceed based on the forensic findings and autopsy report, said police. Mandawali police station SHO Virendra Singh, along with senior officials and a forensic team, inspected the crime scene and gathered forensic evidence.
His father frequently quarrelled with and physically assaulted his wife, according to Asif. He said his parents had recently travelled together from Uttarakhand’s Srinagar to Nayagaon regarding a property deal. The family owns two properties in the area, but Hasan took Shehnaz to the secluded, under-construction house located on Nayagaon-Mirampur road.
