Transport minister Dayashankar Singh says UP has youngest fleet of buses in the country

Speaking on the occasion of the launch of the ‘Lokmata Ahilyabai Matri Shakti Yatra’ scheme by CM Yogi Adityanath and the flagging off of special buses, the minister said, “The transport corporation has the youngest bus fleet in the country. These are among the best buses. “Uttar Pradesh has reached number one in the country in the implementation of the scrappage policy. UP ranks second and third in the country in establishing Automated Testing Centres and issuing driving licences, respectively. With the Yogi govt’s approval, the way has been cleared for the deployment of ARTO (Road Safety) for the first time in the country, which will help curb road accidents.
Uttar Pradesh also ranks first in the country in terms of implementation of the scrappage policy, transport minister Dayashankar Singh said on Wednesday.
