The Mathura district administration is ramping up preparations for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit on September 3. This visit coincides with a significant drone show planned for Janmashtami on September 4, featuring 500 drones. Local officials are coordinating logistics and security measures to ensure a successful event as the region gears up for the festivities.
Officials said the CM is expected to reach Mathura on the morning of Sept 3 and stay in the district for two days. On Sept 4, he is scheduled to offer prayers and have darshan at the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple. The show is expected to be visible from around 3-4 km, allowing devotees gathered in and around the Janmabhoomi area to watch it.
The administration is awaiting formal confirmation of his programme,” an official said. UPBTVP CEO Laxmi Nagappan said the drones would fly in synchronisation to create images depicting Krishna’s birth and various episodes from his life. The drone show is part of efforts to give Shri Krishna Janmotsav a larger presentation, Nagappan said.
“During the visit, he is expected to meet saints and seers in Mathura-Vrindavan and seek blessings at the Radha Rani temple in Barsana.
Similar drone shows have previously been held during religious events in Ayodhya, Prayagraj and Varanasi.
