Lucknow: A 40-year-old man from Bhadeva locality under Bazarkhala police station limits has approached police, alleging that unidentified persons are conspiring to murder him and have offered cash and a house to anyone willing to carry out the killing.

Unidentified individuals have been circulating his photograph on social media and urging others to shoot him dead, according to the complaint. Police said they had taken cognisance of the complaint and that further inquiry into the allegations was underway. The complainant, Mohammad Zeeshan Khan, claimed that a student of Nadwa College alerted him to the alleged conspiracy. Zeeshan further alleged that those behind the purported plot had promised substantial monetary rewards and a house to anyone carrying out the attack. Claiming a threat to his life and that of his family, he sought immediate legal action against those involved. He also requested police protection for himself and his family members.
