Travis Kelce has just given Taylor Swift fans another glimpse into the couple’s private life, and this time, the surprise guest has four legs. And judging by the photos, she may already be the biggest star of the shoot. The campaign also features stars including Gigi Hadid, Frances Tiafoe and Carmelo Anthony, but it was Kelce’s canine companion who immediately caught fans’ attention. Speaking to Vogue about the shoot, Kelce confirmed that the Samoyed is his and Taylor Swift’s dog. Her name has been widely reported as Wendy, although the name has been the subject of some confusion after reports that it briefly appeared in coverage before being removed.
The NFL star said the Tommy Hilfiger team wanted a dog for the campaign, so he offered up their own. Kelce had nothing but praise for his four-legged co-star, telling Vogue that “she lights up my day” and adding that she “crushed it” during the shoot. The dog is a female Samoyed, a breed known for its thick white coat, distinctive “smiling” expression, and friendly temperament.
It apparently didn’t take much convincing. And she certainly looks comfortable beside him. The campaign places the enormous white Samoyed directly alongside Kelce as the pair pose and move through the glamorous New York setting, giving fans an unusually intimate glimpse into the couple’s life away from football and music. Samoyeds were originally bred as working dogs in Arctic regions and are energetic, intelligent, and highly social. For now, the most important confirmation comes directly from Kelce: this is the dog he shares with Swift.
