Apple senior vice president Greg Joswiak had a short but sharp response when Apple CEO John Ternus was asked about the privacy backlash surrounding Meta’s AI glasses. The comment made Ternus laugh. The Apple executives then explained how the company plans to handle privacy as it brings AI-powered listening features to its latest Apple Watch models. These include Siri Recap and Live Rewind, which are designed to process conversations and provide information to the wearer.

The company has also taken steps to prevent users from tampering with the light and said it would remove harassing videos recorded with its AI glasses from Instagram. The comments come as Meta continues to face questions about privacy and the use of its AI glasses. Meta has highlighted the indicator light on its glasses that alerts people when the camera is recording.
