Varanasi: A six-day national workshop on the design process began on Monday at the Textile Design section of the Department of Painting, Banaras Hindu University , with 76 participants from across the country taking part.

The programme is being mentored by Shyam Sharma , who has nearly 17 years of professional experience in the textile design industry. The workshop aims to help young designers gain a deeper understanding of designing– from conceptual thinking to practical and creative development.
