Ahmedabad: A video showing a youth standing on the footboard of a moving car with one leg outside has gone viral on social media, prompting the A Division Traffic Police to launch an inquiry. The incident reportedly took place on Jagatpur Road late at night. The maroon Audi, seen with its passenger-side door open, did not have a numberplate. The youth is seen seated on the front passenger side before stepping onto the footboard while the car continues to move. The video appears to have been recorded for posting on social media. After the video surfaced, traffic police began checking the footage to confirm the exact location and identify the car and the youth. They are also checking whether the car’s registration details can be traced through its make, colour and other features visible in the video. Once his identity is established, action will be taken under relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and other applicable laws.
