A car driver braked abruptly, forcing motorists behind to do the same, according to police. B Division traffic police inspector R S Patel said police were examining dashboard camera footage to determine which vehicle’s sudden braking triggered the chain collision. The accident occurred around 11am. The vehicles, however, failed to stop in time and crashed into one another, resulting in a pile-up involving five cars. Moments later, a BRTS bus also rammed into the vehicles involved in the collision. All five cars sustained damage. After receiving information about the accident, traffic police rushed to the spot. As traffic volume was heavy at the time, officers moved the damaged vehicles to the roadside and managed traffic flow to prevent congestion.
