BJP national vice-president M Nagaraj speaks at an event in Mangaluru on Tuesday
Lashing out at the Congress and opposition parties, he said that the entire Parliament functioned for merely 9% of its scheduled time, with the Rajya Sabha managing only about 39% of its duration. Condemning the decisions and stance taken by the Congress Working Committee (CWC) regarding the national song Vande Mataram , Nagaraja said that the Congress party is immersed in minority appeasement politics and is repeating political strategies reminiscent of Muhammad Ali Jinnah from 1937. “Under Karnataka’s Congress govt, between Rs 75 crore to Rs 100 crore of public funds from the Valmiki Development Corporation was directly embezzled. Nagaraja said in Udupi that the newly appointed BJP office bearers decided to organise a month-long programme to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s 25 years in public office. The celebrations will be held from Sept 17 to Oct 17 as ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ across the country with various programmes at different levels, he said.
Mangaluru: BJP national vice-president and Rajya Sabha MP M Nagaraja said that the BJP is shaping a “new dimension” to connect with the nation’s youth in the coming days, and steer their needs and aspirations in the right direction. “Instead of dividing the young generation with labels like ‘Alpha’ and ‘Beta’, we must engage directly with Indian youth and present the truth,” he said, addressing party workers at the Dakshina Kannada BJP office here on Tuesday. However, minister B Nagendra, facing scam allegations, has been using the Dalit card to cover up his misdeeds,” he alleged.
There are over 25 crore young people across the country. Programmes will be formulated by categorising them into two distinct groups–children up to 13 years of age, and youth aged 13 to 20,” said Nagaraja. “Somewhere, the BJP should take a new dimension. We need to think in a new dimension. In the coming days, we must reach out to the youth segment. We must connect with young people. We must channelise the needs and aspirations of the youth in the right direction. The next generation is the social media generation; the next generation is the youth segment.
