Explosion rips through Nalgonda factory, 4 workers suffer serious injuries
The injured persons were identified as Babbu Shiva Kumar (30), a native of Ramannapeta in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, and three migrant workers from Odisha — Prathap Dehuri (36), Eashwar Pradhan (22) and Uttam Kumbaar (26). Narketpally police reached the factory, secured the area and launched rescue operations.
A sudden ignition triggered the explosion, severely injuring workers who were in the vicinity, according to preliminary information. The blast occurred at Ideal Private Limited in Gopulapally village of Narketpally mandal during routine manufacturing operations. The impact of the blast tore through parts of the factory building, damaged heavy machinery and scattered debris across the premises. Hearing the explosion, factory employees and locals rushed to the site and alerted police and emergency services. The injured workers were pulled out and shifted to hospitals for treatment.

Narketpally sub-inspector P Vishnu Murthy said investigation was under way. the three Odisha workers were shifted to a super-speciality hospital in Hyderabad for advanced treatment While Shiva Kumar was admitted to a private hospital in Narketpally. One of the injured workers was stated to be in critical condition. Authorities are examining whether any lapse in manufacturing processes or safety protocols contributed to the explosion.
