T Cong leaders publicly air internal disputes
The latest case is that of Peddapalli MP G Vamshi Krishna who took a dig at IT minister D Sridhar Babu over his absence from the Nov 1 Vote Bachao – Desh Bachao rally at Ramlila Grounds in New Delhi.
Peddapalli MP Vamshi Krishna told TOI that he was being sidelined in official programmes and party affairs with protocol not being followed by his own party leaders. Supporters of Sridhar Babu said the minister and two other MLAs could not go to the Delhi rally as there was a pre scheduled programme of a Swamiji performing a special puja at Sridhar Babu’s residence on that day, which they had to attend. Telangana Congress president B Mahesh Kumar Goud said the party leadership will speak to every leader, MP, MLA, minister and sort out the differences.
Hyderabad: Internal differences within the ruling Congress are increasingly coming into the open, with ministers, MPs and MLAs publicly expressing dissatisfaction with their own party colleagues as the Congress govt approaches the completion of three years in office. In a letter, he also questioned the absence of Peddapalli MLA Vijayaramana Rao and Ramagundam MLA Makhan Singh Thakur from the programme and urged the minister not to initiate disciplinary action against them.
Munugode MLA Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy has openly criticised irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy, alleging that his constituency, Munugode, was being neglected in the allocation of funds. Questioning whether Uttam was a minister for Huzurnagar alone or for the entire state, he alleged that funds were being diverted towards Huzurnagar and Kodad constituencies while Munugode was being ignored.
In another recent incident, health minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha and Jukkal MLA T Laxmi Kantha Rao reportedly had an argument at a hotel in Delhi during their visit for the Vote Bachao rally in the national capital. The disagreement allegedly arose over the appointment of the Sangareddy District Congress Committee president and other organisational positions, with both leaders exchanging accusations and threats.
