Warangal : Three people, including a patient undergoing treatment for paralysis, suffered minor injuries after a portion of the ceiling collapsed in the Aarogyasri ward of state-run MGM Hospital in Warangal on Sunday morning.
The injured were identified as Mastan (55), the patient, and attendants Yellamma (50) and Omkar (33).
Hospital superintendent Dr K Ramkumar Reddy said the three were immediately shifted to another ward and treated. Tests were conducted and they were safe, he said. Reddy said the incident occurred in an old building and attributed the collapse to water seepage from the roof.
They are from Uppugal village in Zaffergadh mandal of Ghanpur assembly constituency. The damaged ceiling was subsequently repaired.
