Kolkata: The CEO of the Centre’s BHASHINI language technology initiative, Amitabh Nag, met Bengal’s IT secretary on Friday to discuss deploying AI-based multilingual and voice-enabled tools in the state’s digital governance systems.
The meeting follows the state govt’s Sept 1 mandate making Bengali compulsory for official communication, administrative work and citizen services — covering govt files, circulars, digital portals, websites, mobile apps, forms and police records including FIRs.
