Kagawad police have arrested a man accused in multiple theft cases who had allegedly been

Belagavi : Kagawad police have arrested a man accused in multiple theft cases who had allegedly been absconding for nearly two decades. The accused, Sagar Pakale, a resident of Ugar Khurd village in Kagawad taluk of Belagavi district, was traced and arrested in Maharashtra .

Police had been searching for Pakale for several years in connection with 11 theft cases registered against him. The arrest brings to an end a long search that had remained unresolved for around 20 years. Acting on a tip-off that he was living in Jaitapur village in Maharashtra’s Satara district, the Kagawad police launched an operation using modern technology and intelligence inputs to track his movements.

Belagavi superintendent of police K Ramarajan commended the Kagawad police team for successfully tracing and arresting the absconding accused after a prolonged manhunt.

Following the operation, the accused was taken into custody and brought before the authorities.
