The showroom manager told police the two unidentified “customers” were being assisted by a saleswoman, who was showing them bangles from a display tray at 3.15pm on Aug 22. Police said CCTV footage has captured the registration number of the suspects’ vehicle. The theft was discovered during stock check at the end of the day. When the sales executive was busy choosing designs to show them, one of the women allegedly picked up two bangles and slipped them into her handbag. She repeated the act moments later, taking two more bangles from the tray before leaving the counter. The women claimed they didn’t like the designs and left the showroom.
