They demanded regular civic supply and at least 10 tankers for the affected localities as an immediate measure. BJP corporator Deepali Gite said pipelines had developed leaks at 11 locations in the division due to ongoing civic works.

They said residents were getting yellowish and contaminated water from borewells. The corporators said inadequate and irregular supply from Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) was forcing residents to depend on borewell water. Donde said an elevated water tank had already been approved for the area. NMC water supply superintendent engineer Ravindra Dharnkar said budget constraints had stalled the proposed tanks. Construction of the proposed tanks could take nearly two years,” Dharnkar said.

Corporators Priyanka Donde and Kiran Gamne raised serious concerns over water quality in Dattanagar and adjoining areas of Ambad. The project, however, had been held up for want of funds. He assured corporators that additional tankers would be deployed. “Additional water tankers will be pressed into service. Mayor Himgauri Aher directed the administration to ensure adequate tanker supply. She also assured corporators that funds for the proposed tanks would be considered. She sought immediate repairs and restoration of regular supply.
