Mumbai: BMC on Wednesday demolished 28 structures between Jhunjhunwala College and the Andheri-Ghatkopar Link Road in Ghatkopar (West). Further, BMC on Thursday also demolished seven unauthorised shops, 15 temporary tarpaulin sheds, two unauthorised platforms and 20 hawkers obstructing footpaths along D G Mahajani Road and Jerbai Wadia Road in Sewri. The action was carried out by the civic body’s F-South ward as part of its ongoing ‘Pedestrian First’ campaign, aimed at clearing encroachments and ensuring that footpaths remain accessible to pedestrians.
