The Nashik police have externed 402 habitual offenders from Sept 13 to 26
In Sept 2026, a review of criminal records was conducted by Kishor Kale, DCP (Zone II), under the directions from the commissioner of Nashik police Sandeep Karnik. The orders were issued to Pirmohammad Shaikh, alias Bunty (39), and Prince, alias Piyush Chandrakant Palve (18), both from the Indiranagar police station jurisdiction. Sarthak Govardhane (22) and Jalindar Pawar (33) were from the Satpur area, and Vedant Giri (21) was from Ambad police station limit. The Nashik police have externed 402 habitual offenders from Sept 13 to 26. Among the 402 externed offenders, as many as 127 individuals have been externed across Zone-1 of the city police commissionerate. This includes 31 offenders from Mumbai Naka, 24 from Bhadrakali, 22 each from Panchavati and Gangapur, 11 from Sarkarwada, 10 from Mhasrul and 7 from Adgaon police station jurisdictions.
The police confirmed that several other proposals for externment remain under active inquiry, and appropriate action would follow once proceedings conclude. Nashik: Five habitual offenders under Zone II of the city police commissionerate received externment orders in a drive aimed at promoting public peace and maintain law and order during the festival season. Following inquiry reports from ACP and the respective station in-charges, the externment orders were issued. These five would be added to that list. Senior officials emphasised that stringent measures, including preventive detentions, would continue to ensure trouble-free celebrations.
