Covering over 200 km, the march is headed towards the chief minister’s official bungalow, Varsha. The demands include providing proper loan assistance, rewarding regularly repaying farmers, registering ownership rights of cultivated forest, Devasthan, Inam and grazing lands, releasing two instalments of Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi immediately and re-including 81 lakh women in the Ladki Bahin Yojana.

A foot march was taken out through Akole town before the morcha, led by national president of All India Kisan Sabha Ashok Dhawale, national general secretary Viju Krishnan, CPM MLA Vinod Nikole and state president Yashwant Zhade, said national joint secretary Ajit Nawale. “Instead of the meagre assistance of Rs5,000 per farmer family, we demand adequate compensation and long-standing measures to pull farmers out of this crisis, alongside addressing crop insurance issues,” said Nawale. The Nashik convoy joined the march at Ghoti under former MLA JP Gavit, Irfan Sheikh, Indrajit Gavit and Sunil Malusre. Panchayats (Extension to the Scheduled Areas) Act (PESA), construction, nutrition, Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) and Anganwadi workers also joined the march for fair wages and social security after a five-day satyagraha at Akole yielded no action.
