Hyderabad: Commuters in the city may soon be able to travel on both the Metro and RTC buses using a single pass, with chief secretary Sanjay Jaju directing officials to introduce the facility immediately. He asked Metro and RTC officials to make arrangements for both daily and monthly joint passes to ensure seamless travel between the two public transport systems. The move is aimed at allowing commuters to use Metro Rail and RTC buses under a common pass, making travel easier for those who depend on both modes of public transport for their daily journeys. During the meeting, HMRL MD Sarfaraz Ahmad, additional MD B Ajith Reddy and joint MD Shivendra Pratap briefed Jaju on the progress of various works and measures taken during the first and second phases of the Metro project. He issued the directions during a coordination meeting with officials of Hyderabad Metro Rail , TGSRTC, the electricity department and others at Metro Rail Bhavan in Begumpet on Sunday.
