Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh has written to Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, urging the Centre to introduce a comprehensive law on civil wrongs and compensation, proposed as the “Bharatiya Civil Wrongs and Compensation Code”.
On the Jayaprakash Narayan International Centre (JPNIC), he said spending had climbed to around ₹821 crore despite the project remaining incomplete. Singh questioned reports of a proposal to hand it to a private agency for about ₹3 crore a year.
Singh accused the earlier govt of political interference and a builder-bureaucracy nexus, and said the Yogi Adityanath govt was acting to protect homebuyers and complete stalled projects.
