“The meeting, which will be attended by all BSP office-bearers in UP, including district presidents, heads of ‘bhaichara’ committees and zonal in-charges, is crucial in view of the 2027 UP assembly elections,” said an official release. The BSP supremo may also finalise candidates for assembly constituencies from among those shortlisted. One of the BSP’s key strategies for the upcoming UP assembly elections is to bring people from ‘sarv-samaj’ into its existing workforce in the state.
