Father, son killed as speeding car rams into scooter in Agra
Agra : A 50-year-old man and his 25-year-old son were killed after a speeding car rammed their scooter on Kheragarh Road near Lalau bridge under Malpura police station limits late Thursday night.
Pappu Kumar and his son Sunny , residents of Kagarol town, worked at a shoe factory in Sikandra and were returning home after completing their night shift, police said. Police said the duo were travelling towards Kagarol when the car, coming from the opposite direction, hit their scooter near the bridge. ACP Saiyan Jasveer Singh Sirohi said the vehicle had been seized and efforts were underway to identify and apprehend the driver. The bodies were sent for postmortem,” he said.
The driver allegedly abandoned the car at the spot and fled. The impact threw both several feet into the air before they fell onto the road. Other motorists who witnessed the crash alerted police. A police team reached the spot and rushed the injured father and son to the emergency department of SN Medical College, where doctors declared them dead on arrival. The scooter was badly damaged, while the car was found abandoned at the accident site. “Police were investigating the circumstances leading to the crash.
