Muzaffarnagar/Agra: For nearly 10 months, the parents of Class 9 student Vansh Kashyap have been running from pillar to post seeking justice over their son’s mysterious death at a private school in Mainpuri.
He has demanded a proper investigation and strict legal action against the “culprits”. With their pleas yet to yield any action, Vansh’s father has now resorted to a hunger strike for the past five days at Tikonia Park.
Keshav Kashyap, he received a call at 8.58 am on Nov 22 informing him that his son had suffered an injury at the school, according to a police complaint by Vansh’s father. SP city Arun Kumar said, “The child’s family has alleged that he was murdered, but so far, the investigation has not revealed anything indicating that.
SHO of Kotwali, Fateh Bahadur Singh, added, “The accused have obtained a stay on their arrest from the High Court.” The caller also asked him to reach the emergency ward of the district hospital. As he was about to reach, he received another call directing him to Pathak Hospital. The family further alleged that despite approaching several public representatives, police officers and other authorities over the months, they have not received any relief. Hence, they’ve now intensified their protest, with a hunger strike at Tikonia Park. They are demanding action against the school and its closure. However, how the incident happened is still a matter of probe, and we’re currently looking into the circumstances behind all of it.
Family’s Attempt to Uncover Circumstances Surrounding Vansh’s Incident
On the same day of the incident, Kashyap and his family members visited the school to seek information about what had transpired. After a confrontation with the security guard, they were permitted entry. However, the principal reportedly refused to disclose specific details regarding the incident. The family was subsequently shown videos that depicted Vansh walking, but Kashyap claimed that the footage showing the circumstances of his son’s fall was not presented to them.
