Kanpur: Cloudy skies, light rain and thunderstorms are likely to bring a dip in daytime temperatures across Kanpur division from October 28 to 30, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
In Kanpur Dehat, the probability of overcast skies, light rain and thunderstorms on Oct 29 and 30 ranges from 23% to 46%, which may also affect humidity and temperature levels. Meanwhile, Kanpur Nagar recorded a maximum temperature of 33.4°C on Monday, 1.8 degrees above normal and 0.8 degrees higher than Sunday’s maximum. The minimum temperature was 17.2°C, 0.6 degrees above normal.
S N Sunil Pandey, a weather expert at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, said north-westerly winds were likely to continue over the coming days, reducing humidity and keeping the weather dry. The influx of moisture could also lead to the formation of light, high-altitude clouds. However, sunshine is expected to keep daytime temperatures warm.
