Man hammers wife, mom-in-law to death in Etah
Police said Priyanka and Hukum Lal, originally from Firozabad, had been married for more than 20 years and had been involved in frequent disputes in recent days.
Police said the murder of Priyanka Singh and her mother, Kamla Devi, came to light in the early hours of Tuesday. The children told investigators that the couple had quarrelled several times before Monday night’s altercation escalated. Etah ASP Shwetabh Pandey said, “A case has been registered against the accused based on the children’s statements and preliminary findings.
The couple’s three children were at home when the incident took place. Hukum allegedly attacked Priyanka and Kamla with a heavy object, inflicting severe injuries to their faces and eyes. Both women died at the place. Police reached the house after receiving an alert, while forensic experts and a dog squad examined the scene and collected evidence. The bodies were sent for postmortem. The accused fled after the incident, and police teams are conducting raids at possible locations to arrest him.”
Agra : A 40-year-old woman and her 60-year-old mother were allegedly beaten to death by the woman’s husband during a family dispute in Yadav Nagar locality of Awagarh town in Etah district late Monday night.
