On Wednesday, Varanasi Police apprehended a 42-year-old man for allegedly distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and pornographic videos via an online messaging group. This arrest highlights ongoing concerns regarding the proliferation of such illegal content on digital platforms.
Police said the accused allegedly circulated CSAM involving a minor along with other pornographic videos in a group named ‘Girls Group Only’. Cyber cell in charge sub-inspector Saurabh Shahi lodged a case at Chowk police station on Tuesday against Sartaj Ahmed alias Raju.
