Tragic Road Incident Claims Life of Sub-Inspector in Lucknow
Satyendra Singh, a 51-year-old sub-inspector from the 1995 batch, was involved in a fatal road accident on Monday morning in Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow. Singh’s vehicle collided with the rear of a stationary dumper parked on the roadside, resulting in his death. He was stationed at the Dial 112 headquarters and was a resident of Sanigwan-Koyla Nagar in Kanpur. The incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding road safety and the dangers posed by stationary vehicles on public roads.
Singh was travelling from Kanpur to Lucknow around 7 am to report for duty, according to police.
Police said he was running late and was driving at high speed when his WagonR reportedly went out of control near Daroga Kheda in Sarojini Nagar and rammed into the rear of a stationary dumper.

Passers-by informed the police, following which a team reached the spot and rushed him to Sarojini Nagar Community Health Centre. Doctors declared him dead on arrival. Police informed his family about the accident and sent the body for post-mortem examination. An investigation into the circumstances leading to the crash is underway.
