Lucknow: Authorities recovered the body of a 30-year-old man from a pond in Bhulsi village, Malihabad, on Sunday. This discovery came three days after he was reported missing on Raksha Bandhan. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance have not yet been clarified, and investigations are ongoing.
The deceased was identified as Vikas Kumar, grandson of former village pradhan Sitaram, who headed the village panchayat from 1980 to 1985. Police said an investigation was underway and that the postmortem report would help ascertain the cause and circumstances of death. Police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for postmortem examination.
