Have you ever had a feeling about something before you could explain why?
Because they are difficult to explain, we often brush these moments aside.
Or perhaps you walked into a room and sensed that something had changed, even though nobody had said a word. Maybe you met someone and instantly felt that you should keep your distance. Maybe you thought about a loved one moments before they called. But spiritually, intuition is often seen as a quiet form of inner knowing. It is that subtle voice within that does not always come with an explanation. You may not know where the feeling came from, but you notice it. And sometimes, the more quietly you live and observe, the easier it becomes to recognise. Here are five signs you may be more intuitive than you realise. A person’s words may sound perfectly normal, yet their energy feels different to you. A place may look familiar and welcoming, but you feel strangely uncomfortable being there. Have you ever spent time with someone and felt completely drained afterwards, even though nothing unpleasant happened? Or entered a peaceful temple, room or natural setting and instantly felt calmer? Some people are particularly sensitive to the emotional atmosphere around them. They may absorb the mood of a room quickly and need time alone afterwards to feel like themselves again. From a spiritual perspective, this sensitivity is sometimes connected with being deeply receptive to the people and spaces around you. But intuition does not mean every feeling carries a hidden message. Sometimes you are tired. Sometimes you are anxious. Sometimes your mind is filling in gaps. The deeper practice is learning to pause and ask yourself: Is this intuition, or is this fear speaking? That small distinction can change everything. Perhaps intuition is not about having mysterious answers to every question. Perhaps it is about becoming quiet enough to notice what your own inner world has been trying to tell you. And sometimes, that quiet knowing deserves to be heard.

You get a strong inner feeling before important moments
You may even find yourself asking, “Are you sure you’re okay?” only to hear them admit that something has been bothering them. There are moments when something inside you says, “Wait. Highly intuitive people often describe this as a feeling rather than a thought. They notice the atmosphere, emotions and small changes around them, sometimes before they consciously understand what they are picking up on. Someone may tell you they are fine, but you can sense that they are carrying something. You notice the pause before they answer. The change in their voice. The smile that does not quite reach their eyes. This kind of sensitivity can make you deeply aware of the emotional world around you. Sometimes the answer does not arrive when you keep thinking about the problem. It comes when you stop. A walk alone, a few minutes of prayer, meditation, journaling or simply sitting quietly can suddenly bring clarity. You may realise what you actually want or understand why a particular decision has been troubling you. Spiritual traditions often place value on silence for this reason. When everything around you becomes quieter, you may become more aware of what is happening within you. You may suddenly feel like postponing a decision, checking on someone or paying closer attention to a situation. Sometimes nothing comes of it. Other times, you later understand why that feeling stayed with you. This does not mean every instinct is a prediction of the future. Intuition can also come from years of experiences, observations and emotional awareness working quietly beneath the surface. The important part is that you have learned to notice the feeling instead of immediately dismissing it.
