Android 17 QPR3 Beta 1 is now rolling out to Pixel phones, with a stable release expected in March 2027.
Google has released Android 17 QPR3 Beta 1 for Pixel phones, kicking off the preview cycle for an update scheduled to reach stable builds in March 2027. It arrives days after QPR2 Beta 6.1 with 20 bug fixes, a few interface tweaks and early hints of what Google is building next. Those who want the stable QPR2 release instead can leave the Android Beta Program without a data wipe, as long as they skip this update. Opting out after installing it will erase all data.
Most devices get build DP11.260918.006, while the Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL and 11 Pro Fold get DP11.260918.005. Google has also fixed excessive idle battery drain with Flip to Shh enabled, Wi-Fi failing to reconnect in the background, and a camera feed that turned 90 degrees during video calls on an external display in desktop mode. The build is available for every Pixel from the 6a onwards, including the Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold. The fix list targets some long-running irritants. A freeze that made phones unresponsive during fingerprint unlock is gone, as is an eSIM bug where profiles quietly switched themselves back off in Settings.
