Samsung has started accepting pre-reservations in India for its next generation of Galaxy foldable smartphones ahead of their global launch on July 22. These may include Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8. Customers can reserve a unit by paying a refundable token amount of Rs 999. Those who pre-reserve the new foldables will receive benefits worth Rs 2,799 when they complete their purchase.
The company has not revealed the names of the upcoming devices, but it is rumoured that Samsung may bring three foldables this year. The announcement comes weeks before Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, where the company is expected to unveil its latest foldable devices and AI-powered innovations.
Samsung said the Rs 999 token amount is fully refundable. Customers who complete the purchase after launch will receive benefits worth Rs 2,799. Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 22 in London. The company said the event will be streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung’s YouTube channel starting at 6:30 pm IST.
However, Samsung has not shared specifications or confirmed the names of the upcoming devices.
Samsung says that its next generation of foldables will combine AI with new foldable designs to deliver more personalised and adaptive experiences. Customers can pre-reserve the upcoming Galaxy foldables through Samsung.com, Samsung Exclusive Stores, Amazon India, Flipkart, and leading retail stores across the country.
The July 22 event is also expected to see the unveiling of the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Samsung may not stop at foldables. Perhaps most intriguingly, Samsung is also tipped to showcase its long-anticipated Android XR smart glasses at Unpacked. However, they may be available to buy at a later stage.
