Lucknow: A young man died and a married woman was critically injured after the two allegedly attempted suicide at separate locations in Tedwa village of Barabanki on early Thursday.
The incidents were reported around 12.30 am.
Police said he had been staying at his maternal grandparents’ home in the village. Kothi SHO Dharmendra Pratap Singh said police will take further action after the postmortem report and the findings of the investigation. Police reached the village after receiving information, sent the man’s body for post-mortem examination and admitted the woman to hospital, where she remains under treatment. The deceased was identified as Himanshu Yadav . Locals claimed Himanshu was in a relationship with Julie Gautam for nearly a year. Julie was married to Avnish Gautam about three years ago.
Allegations of Foul Play in Himanshu’s Death
Julie reportedly attempted suicide after receiving news of Himanshu’s death. She was found hanging but was rescued in time and taken to the hospital.
Himanshu’s father has alleged that his son was murdered, claiming that the circumstances of his death were staged to look like a suicide. He has raised concerns about possible involvement from members of Julie’s in-laws’ family and is calling for a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
