New structures coming up in Ayodhya to add to the Saryu experience — Newly Built Amphitheatre near Saryu River
“Ayodhya’s growing tourist footfall, particularly during Deepotsav, reflects its rising importance as a spiritual and cultural tourism destination,” he said, adding that the new facility would bring together cultural programmes, local food and the ambience of the Saryu while providing better facilities for visitors during Deepotsav and through the year. The tourism department is developing the facility under the Shri Ayodhya Ji Teerth Vikas Yojana, with an amphitheatre, food plaza, cafe and visitor amenities planned as part of the project. An eight-shop food plaza, cafe and public facilities are also being developed at the site. The project comes as Ayodhya continues to see a sharp rise in tourist footfall around Deepotsav.
