The incident was reported around 12.03am from L-8, Ground Floor, Kalkaji. Preliminary inquiry revealed that an argument had taken place outside the building, following which an exchange of words escalated into a scuffle between residents of the ground and third floors. NEW DELHI: A man was killed and his brother injured after a scuffle broke out between residents of the ground and third floors of a building in southeast Delhi’s Kalkaji in the early hours of Sunday, police said. Manjeet was declared dead at the hospital, while Dilbag is undergoing treatment, police said. Dilbag, in his account to police, said he rushed to the spot after receiving a late-night call and found his brother lying dead on the road outside a house in L-Block. Legal action is being taken, police said.
Police reached the spot after receiving a PCR call and found that two brothers, Manjeet Singh alias Bunty and Dilbag Singh, had sustained injuries during the scuffle and were taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre. Manjeet and Dilbag allegedly sustained injuries during the altercation. He also alleged that he was attacked when he confronted women present at the spot, suffering a leg fracture and injuries to his nose. Multiple police teams have been formed to examine CCTV footage and identify and apprehend those involved in the incident. Download the TOI App.
