Eid-e-Milad procession in Nashik
The procession began at Chowk Mandai at 4 pm. As many as 44 PIs, 120 APIs and PSIs, 2,200 constables, 350 lady constables, 800 male home guards, 300 female home guards, two platoons of RCPs, three platoons of SRPF and eight teams of QRT were also deployed all over the city. Police said a huge bandobast was maintained throughout the city under the guidance of CP Sandeep Karnik and the supervision of four DCPs and seven ACPs. It moved through major areas of the old city, seeking peace, prosperity, and the well-being of humanity in the nation amid heavy police bandobast. City Khatib Hafiz Hisamuddin Ashrafi, deputy city Qazi Ejazuddin Qazi, imams of various mosques, madrassa students, and thousands of people from the Muslim community participated in the festival. It passed through major landmarks, including Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Statue, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Statue, Bycto Point, Muktidham, Deolali Gaon and Vihitgaon. Welcome arches, green flags, banners, and colourful lighting adorned several neighbourhoods alongside decorative displays. A procession was also held in the Indiranagar area. Nashik : Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi celebrations marking Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary began in the city with collective prayers offered at Chowk Mandai, followed by a procession on Wednesday.
