The Mumbai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper train is expected to be introduced after Dussehra

MUMBAI: The proposed Mumbai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper train is expected to cover the nearly 1,000km journey in 15 hours and 45 minutes, reducing travel time by around six hours and 20 minutes compared with the existing Udyan Express. Unlike the existing Udyan Express, which departs Mumbai in the morning, the new service is expected to leave late in the evening, allowing passengers to travel overnight. The sleeper configuration is likely to benefit those travelling between the two cities for work, business and tourism, while offering an alternative to air travel.
