Two killed as car falls into trench near Lonavla

The Pune Rural police identified the deceased as Hussain Shabbir Godhrawala (27), a resident of Kondhwa, and Aasir Inamdar (26), a resident of Nehru Nagar, Pimpri. When the trio reached Waksai, Barwa lost control of the wheel and crashed into the highway railings.

The deputy superintendent of police in charge of Lonavla Rural police told TOI , “In the early hours of Thursday, the trio and four of their friends were heading towards Lonavla in two cars. Their friend, Aniket Barwa, who was driving the car, sustained severe injuries. He is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. They all worked for a private company. The car went off the road and overturned in a trench.”

It took place around 4am on Thursday when the trio were travelling towards Lonavla.

Fatal Accident Leads to Legal Action Against Driver

A police team responded to a serious incident involving three individuals who were involved in a car accident. The victims, identified as Godhrawala and Inamdar, were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead by medical personnel. In response to the incident, authorities have registered a case against the car driver under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to causing death by negligence, as well as other relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
