Two held with Tapentadol tablets in Madurai
Madurai : Madurai city police arrested two men and seized 100 Tapandatol tablets from them during a special anti-narcotics drive in Tallakulam on Sunday. The arrested were identified as Datchinamurthy, 26, of Sellur, employed at a private food delivery firm, and Muthuvel, 26, of Keelapanangadi, who works as an acting driver. Police found 10 strips containing 100 tapandatol tablets in their possession.

Police said based on a tip-off received by the narcotics prevention wing, a team intercepted the two in Tallakulam police station limits and conducted a search. Madurai city police said they are continuing efforts to curb the circulation of narcotic and banned substances in the city. Both were handed over to Tallakulam police, who registered a case and remanded them in judicial custody. Download the TOI App.
