Kanpur: Samajwadi Party national general secretary Shivpal Yadav on Sunday urged the party workers to begin preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections and secure a big-margin victory for the party. Yadav, who inaugurated Kisaan Bazaar at Nagra of Bari in Etawah’s Jaswant Nagar Assembly constituency around noon, accused the state govt of looting the entire budget and failing to undertake any work over the past 10 years. Describing the govts of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav as farmer-friendly, Shivpal said farmers constitute around 70% of voters but continue to face electricity and water problems.
He said govt must be removed and replaced by the SP govt. He said one month had been allowed to complete the SIR process and the party workers should use the period fully. He urged them to add as many names as possible to the voter list and ensure record voting in favour of the SP, including a big-margin victory for him. He alleged that water is not reaching canals and electricity problems persist in villages, continuously creating a crisis for farmers.
