The entrepreneur and author took to the air backstage at Broadway’s Palace Theatre this week, getting strapped into a flying harness as part of the aerial world behind The Lost Boys, A New Musical , the Broadway production she co-produces with her husband, Stephen Curry. The Lost Boys has substantial aerial choreography built into the production, with aerial design by Gwyneth Larsen and Billy Mulholland and Flying by Foy credited for the show’s flying effects. Shortly after the The Lost Boys account shared the footage, Steph posted his own version on social media with the caption, “Summer of fun. They are officially credited as co-producers of The Lost Boys , alongside a lengthy list of producers that includes Neil Patrick Harris, Douglas Sills, Slash, Kiefer Sutherland and Steve Young.
“The Lost Boys flight school is officially in session at The Palace Theatre on Broadway!!” the production captioned the video. The official Lost Boys account even dropped into the comments with a simple “The best 🔥,” adding to the lighthearted exchange. Ayesha Curry just got her wings, literally. The show’s official Instagram shared a behind-the-scenes clip of Ayesha suspended above the stage in a gray jersey and cream trousers, arms stretched wide and a huge grin on her face as she appeared to enjoy the unexpected Broadway flight lesson. And the flying isn’t just a social-media gimmick. The clip shows Ayesha airborne backstage, turning the normally behind-the-scenes mechanics of the Broadway production into a playful husband-and-wife moment. The flying lesson also fits with the Currys’ deeper connection to the production. Steph and Ayesha aren’t simply celebrity guests who happened to visit the Palace Theatre.
The company’s roots stretch back to Peter Foy’s work on Peter Pan , including the celebrated 1954 Broadway production starring Mary Martin. The production officially opened at the Palace Theatre on April 26, 2026, after beginning previews in March. It is a stage adaptation of the 1987 Warner Bros. cult vampire film and has continued its Broadway run at the Palace. Broadway confirmed when the musical opened in April that Steph and Ayesha’s involvement marked the married couple’s first Broadway producing credit .
Steph described himself as an “amateur Broadway geek” and said his investment in the project came from the team and talent behind the show. Playbill lists Flying by Foy among the production’s special-effects team, while industry coverage describes the musical’s aerial sequences as involving performers moving through three-dimensional space using the company’s automated flying system. For Ayesha, that meant getting a firsthand taste of one of the show’s most elaborate technical elements. In the clip, she can be seen suspended in the air alongside another person on a separate rig, while members of the backstage crew work around them. Flying by Foy also gives the moment a serious piece of Broadway history. Foy developed the Inter-Related Pendulum system for that production, helping create the controlled, soaring flight that became one of the musical’s signatures. Flying by Foy went on to become a major name in theatrical flying effects. So Ayesha wasn’t exactly getting a random backstage thrill. She was stepping into a piece of stagecraft with decades of Broadway history behind it. And Steph Curry clearly wasn’t going to let the moment pass without getting in on the fun.
